Beans, Corn -- Full Moon Start by Miss Dee Spring is just around the corner and I don't know about you but my hands are just itching to dig into the dirt and plant anything that will grow in cool weather! (My Taurean sun is an enthusiastic gardener) I've ordered a few unique veggie seeds from the nursery as well as some luscious looking golden raspberry bushes and as soon as my husband clears away the snow, I'll get down to my greenhouse and start my seedlings. After six weeks, I'll transplant them all in my gardens. If you don't have a greenhouse, start your seeds inside in containers in a place where they will get 5 or 6 hours of sunshine, lightly water, and cover the containers with cling wrap or terrarium tops. This year, as every year, I'll start my veggies under the different phases of the moon: root vegetables (veggies grown under the soil such as beets, carrots, and potatoes) should be planted when the moon is new or March 10th or April 8, 2005. And the up-top vegetables (veggies grown above the soil such as cabbage, pumpkins, and tomatoes) should be planted when the moon is full or March 25th or April 24, 2005. Seasoned gardeners, such as myself, know from experience what berries, fruits, and veggies we enjoy growing in our gardens and we all know what we like to eat. The list below includes beneficial and supportive foods for each sun sign as well as bush, flower, and/or fruit favorites.

radishes, rosemary, tomatoes; aloe plants and gladiolus flowers. Gemini: chives, carrots, cauliflower, garlic, lettuce, mint, peas, spinach; lemons, baby's breath and sunflowers.

Mercury begins its Retrograde cycle March 20, 2005 and remains so until April 12, 2005. Mercury, the planet which governs communication, will create bumbled, tongue-tied communi-cation, difficulty in getting our point across, trouble listening and remembering, general misunder-standings, schedule changes, short tempers, irritability, general nervousness, and the temporary misplacing of items.
* And
because misunderstandings are so common during a Mercury Retrograde cycle and
because we change our mind about some of our decisions, it is best to avoid making
major purchases, signing contracts or making commitments during a Mercury Retrograde
cycle. If you would like additional information about the Mercury Retrograde cycle, sun sign gardening or other material on the signs and planets, details may be found in Miss Dee's book, The Best of Miss Dee. |
