Joyful Movement   

     Very often when the new year is about to start or has already begun, a person renews his/her vows to eat better, exercise or exercise more, and/or be kinder to him/herself.

     If the addition of exercising is new to your schedule or you are bored with the program you have been following, try one or more of the activities listed below. You might find one or more of them enjoyable, which would help you stick with an exercise program.

     Exercise or joyful movement, as you probably know, chases away "the blues," clears your mind, helps trim your body, increases your blood circulation, lowers high blood pressure, and strengthens your muscles. It also adds to your happiness and increases self-appreciation because you have done something good for yourself!

     The addition of sun sign beneficial foods is also a plus for you and your body or temple. Your body needs good fuel to run on!

     And just in case you don't know, it takes approximately three weeks to become comfortable with a new routine so please, be patient with yourself.

Aries: hiking, racquetball, tennis, and volleyball in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add broccoli, onions, peas, peppermint, radishes, rosemary, and tomatoes.

Taurus: belly dancing, bicycling, skating, and softball in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add berries, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, garlic, herbs, onions, potatoes, and tomatoes.

Gemini: bicycling, racquetball, swimming, and tennis in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add chives, carrots, cauliflower, corn, garlic, lettuce, and peas.

Cancer: baseball, bowling, fishing, and water aerobics in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add broccoli, cabbage, corn, lettuce, pumpkin, spinach, strawberries, and tomatoes to your menu.

Leo: aerobics, croquet, dancing, and tennis in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add cauliflower, garlic, lettuce, onions, peas, radishes, and spinach.

Virgo: bicycling, caving, hiking, and water dancing in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add broccoli, brussels sprouts, carrots, lettuce, onions, parsley, and peaches.

Libra: badminton, croquet, swimming, and water dancing in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add asparagus, cucumbers, dill, lettuce, spinach, strawberries, and tomatoes.

Scorpio: riding, skating, swimming, and water skiing in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add blackberries, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, onions, parsley, peaches, and tomatoes.

Sagittarius: aerobics, golf, hiking, and any other sport in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add asparagus, broccoli, corn, cucumbers, lettuce, peas, pumpkin, spinach, and sweet peas.

Capricorn: bowling, horseshoes, softball, and water aerobics in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, garlic, sweet potatoes, parsley, tomatoes, and potatoes.

Aquarius: basketball, caving, softball, and swimming in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add apples, beans, broccoli, brussels sprouts, chives, lettuce, parsley, spinach, and tomatoes.

Pisces: ballroom dancing, badminton, water aerobics, and water dancing in addition to taking brisk walks. And to your meals, add blueberries, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cucumbers, dill, garlic, lettuce, raspberries, spinach, and potatoes.
