Change That Habit &
by Miss Dee New Year's Day is usually the target date for starting a new regime, discontinuing an old habit, sprucing up your life, and loving yourself or at least appreciating yourself more. Personally, I don't make New Year's resolutions. If I want or need to make a change, I make the change when I have the thought of the needed/wanted change. Why? That's when the change/modify/correct energy is the strongest and this same strong energy will help "get the ball rolling." January 1st resounds with the decisive, determined, level-headed, self-discipled energy of Saturn and Capricorn: just the energy needed to get the job done as long as the individual doesn't give up on obtaining the goal. So if the addition of healthy foods or exercising regularly is on your new year resolution "to do" list, incorporate one or more of the foods and the activities listed below. Fresh veggies and fruits as well as some form of exercise chases away "the blues," clears your mind, helps slim your body, increases blood circulation, lowers blood pressure, and strengthens the muscles. It also increases your self-esteem and your happiness level because you are doing some good things for yourself. By the way, it takes approximately three weeks to become comfortable with a new routine: be patient with yourself. Happy, healthy new year, Miss Dee. 1 Aries: in addition to taking brisk walks, try hiking, racquetball, tennis, and volleyball.
